Job Description Summary

As an engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a dynamic team designing, implementing, and maintaining inspection processes used to ensure the quality of jet engine components. You will work with nondestructive testing modalities, (mainly computed tomography, radiography) experts and materials engineers to highlight conditions in images of jet engine components. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest part designs and materials systems and work with the design teams to define inspection solutions and enable future productivity strategies.

Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Execute and provide guidance for the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices, and procedures and the product/program requirements
  • Institute collaboration practices between self-organizing and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization; lead and participate in the technical reviews with limited guidance from senior engineers
  • Demonstrate ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments as appropriate
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data or programs generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Mathematics from a accredited college or university


DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
  • At least 1 year experience in a relevant engineering position
  • Image processing experience; Rhythm, VG Studio and Avizo software platforms experience
  • Experience leading development teams for inspection development and incorporation of customer requirements with a focus on quality
  • Ability to guide and influence others
  • In-depth understanding of engineering technology, tools, and Xray systems
  • Experience in a nondestructive testing environment
  • Experience with aviation quality requirements and systems
