Position Summary:

The Mechanical & Machinery Engineer oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of mechanical and machinery projects offshore across the MENA and Europe regions, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role manages contractors and suppliers, reviews designs and drawings, conducts site inspections, and provides technical guidance to project teams to ensure quality and efficiency. Additionally, the engineer identifies and resolves project issues, prepares reports and presentations for clients and management, and supports continuous improvement by staying updated on industry developments.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee mechanical and machinery projects in the MENA and Europe regions.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with clients and other team members.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients and senior management.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Review and approve design plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure that work meets project requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
• Identify and resolve any project issues or delays in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on technical matters.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for clients and senior management.
• Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in mechanical and machinery engineering.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 + years of experience in mechanical and machinery engineering, preferably in the MENA and Europe regions.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and machinery systems, equipment, and materials.
• Experience in project management and construction management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
