Role description:
You will join the Water Optimization team within the Water & Climate Adaptation consultancy group (CARE market group), working on current issues in wastewater and drinking/process water treatment. The group consists of six national teams (about 90 members) and collaborates on themes such as climate adaptation, the urban and rural transition, safeguarding clean (drinking) water, and closing water cycles.
You will work on challenging projects involving drinking water and wastewater treatment, as well as other essential infrastructure such as water extraction fields, pumping stations, reservoirs, and sewer/surface water pumping stations.

Role description:

You will work on challenging projects involving drinking water and wastewater treatment, as well as other essential infrastructure such as water extraction fields, pumping stations, reservoirs, and sewer/surface water pumping stations.
Role accountabilities:
- Analyze and solve complex technical challenges in water treatment plants, pumping stations, and water transport systems.
- Design and specify mechanical systems, such as pumps, pipelines, and hydraulic installations, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Work closely with specialists in electrical engineering, BIM/SE, and process technology to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
- Lead the technical aspects of projects, from upgrading wastewater treatment facilities to developing new infrastructure for drinking water supply.
- Guide clients through Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), ensuring technical standards and operational reliability are met.
- Advise on and implement technical improvements for industrial clients, optimizing wastewater and stormwater management systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed vocational (MBO), higher professional (HBO), or academic degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient with software/tools to automate or accelerate your work, such as Revit, Plant 3D, FluidFlow, and Wanda.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Independent and proactive work attitude, with curiosity about new developments.
- Able to communicate ideas (e.g., through reports) to people outside your specific field of expertise.
- Customer-focused, innovative, and entrepreneurial, aiming for shared results.
- Good command of Dutch and sufficient command of English, both spoken and written.
