Job Description Summary
JOB PURPOSE
Based on the activities assigned by his/her hierarchical superiors, the project engineer supports the sales teams and is responsible for the design, pre-installation supervision and procurement of projects.
He/she supports the operational teams in charge of commissioning equipment on the customer's site.
Job Description
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES
Sales support
- Support sales teams (technical offers, costing, etc.)
- Maintain a technical and competitive watch (suppliers, technologies, markets, customers, etc.)
- Participate in the selection of external service providers (deadlines, prices, technical feasibility, etc.), in collaboration with stakeholders (sales teams, purchasing, etc.)
- Study contract documents (CCTP) and customer requirements in conjunction with sales teams
- Analyze requirements for each project in terms of technical, functional and deadline criteria
- Design and participate in the pre-sizing of solutions (equipment and installation configurations, pre-studies and technical definitions, drawings, installation dimensioning)
- Formalize technical requests to suppliers and cost the selected solutions in collaboration with the sales teams
- Monitor assembly work and ensure conformity of equipment and accessories before shipment, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Create, manage and update document databases, customer documents and work directories
Project management
- Define and transmit the documentation required for the project and ensure documentary follow-up
- Actively participate in project launches in collaboration with stakeholders (kick- off meetings, etc.)
- Define plan and ensure of supply of materials and components required for the project
- Manage service providers in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Manage the project (progress, monitoring indicators, stakeholder coordination, etc.) and take corrective action where necessary, in collaboration with stakeholders
- Manage customer relations during the implementation phase and provide technical support
- Organize and plan equipment tests (recipes, etc.), in collaboration with stakeholders
- Prepare technical documentation and provide reporting elements in order to project invoicing
- Mobilize and animate internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project management
- Participate in end-of-project meetings (feedback, etc.)
- Ensure financial monitoring of the business (budget consumed, actual costs, etc.) and alert management in the event of any deviation

5 years' higher education in a technical field and/or 5 years' experience preferred significant experience desired
