As a Mechanical Engineer at RIFT, you contribute directly to the development of our Iron Fuel Technology. You design and implement mechanical systems that help decarbonize industrial heat. Depending on your background and ambition, you can join as a medior, senior, or team lead, each with its own focus and level of responsibility.

What you'll do as a Mechanical Engineer

Medior

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers
• Support improvement of existing designs and processes

Senior

• Lead complex mechanical design projects from concept to implementation
• Safeguard technical specifications and quality standards
• Coach medior engineers and share technical expertise
• Contribute strategically to design scalability and system innovation

Team lead

• Lead and coordinate the mechanical engineering team
• Manage planning, priorities, and capacity across projects
• Represent the team in technical discussions and towards management
• Foster team growth and individual development

What you bring as a Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and relevant standards
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Additional for senior / team lead profiles

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in process or energy sectors
• Proven track record in leading technical projects and/or teams
• Strategic thinking and confidence in making informed technical decisions
