We are looking for an IAC T&I Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

Start date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Paris, France

Qualification and Experience required:

  • Engineering degree, preferably in Marine Engineering, Civil or Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering,
  • Proven experiences in the Offshore & Marine engineering related to Offshore wind,
  • Proven expertise in offshore T&I activities related to OFW projects,
  • Proven exposure to offshore execution phase (fabrication and installation), in particular for IAC installation,
  • Previous technical expertise in offshore wind operations, including knowledge of the technical and safety regulatory landscape (preferably in Germany),
  • Ability to work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to diverse international teams, contractors & subcontractors, affiliates, HQ, etc.,
  • Organizational skills, effective communicator, both written and verbal (English mandatory and German recommended), enjoying and being effective at developing contractors' relationships at the appropriate level,
  • Experience in issuance of technical and execution plans and procedures related to T&I,
  • Experience in preparing and following T&I specific CFT related to package award to specific T&I contractors,
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and tasks, work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.

Activities:

  • In preparation to the execution phase, provide support to package lead in refining and implementing the contractual strategy for T&I operation related to IAC (including specific equipment, CPS stabilization, etc.); in a complex environment of a very high industrial demand from the Offshore Wind industry, requiring early commitments,
  • Participate to the tendering process (including bids evaluations and recommendations to award), negotiations with potential contractors,
  • Contribute to the revision and validation of technical specifications and employer's requirements
  • Collaborate with C&P for final T&I contracts awards and follow-up,
  • Support the T&I Package Manager in the budget preparation and resource plan for the package in line with the project's future phases,
  • Ensure a good coordination with Contractors' teams and a real cooperation between Contractor and Company teams to ensure a profitable and efficient collaboration during the tender and future phases,

Contribute to the project's interfaces matrix and to manage:

  • The external technical interfaces of the T&I package with the other Project packages (WTG's, Foundations' (FOU), TSO Offshore Substation (OSS) Fabrication & Supply and O&M's package), and
  • The internal interfaces with the teams in charge of the permitting, the certification and the environmental subjects,
  • Provide support in procurement activities related to IAC in interface with IAC Supply Lead,
  • Maintain close coordination with the Permitting Team and Certification Team (based in Hamburg) with a strong focus on complying with the requirements from the German regulatory for the performance of the work,
  • Support the development of the Project Safety Philosophy for the construction and installation phase (including at
  • marshalling Alfonso(s) if applicable) and thereafter ensure that the contractor safety plans are effectively managed,
  • Assist in developing the Project quality system related to the T&I scope engineering, logistics, the lifting means, the marine operations and to develop and implement the specific surveillance plan for the contracted scopes,
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders and supply chain managers to ensure the use of local content meets projects targets,
  • Ensure the validity of design decision and change management through market engagement, cost-benefit studies, ad-hoc logistics studies, weather downtime assessment and risk analysis,
  • Perform logistics studies and liaise with package managers (WTG, FOU and O&M) for the timely deliveries of the main equipment to marshalling harbour (if required for IAC) or to the ports.
