Client-Sided Role
The activities contemplated will depend on the nature of the work to be controlled, but will include, document/certificates review, NDE and NDT tasks (and DT, in case of investigation) of various techniques, dimensional control, cleanliness control, all tests conducted in general.
Key Responsibilities:
• To ensure that timely notification has been issued, 3rd party and/or COMPANY personnel and/or COMPANY other contractors are mobilized (if there is such a requirement)
• To ensure that the personnel in charge of performing the task is certified and has been trained adequately
• To ensure that the equipment to be controlled is at an adequate state of completion (in line with ITP) to start the task
• To ensure that corresponding procedures have been approved, available on the control area, read and fully understood by the person(s) in charge to conduct the control operation
• To ensure that all equipment/tools to be used during the control program are in good working order and certified (for those where such requirement exists)
• To ensure that all consumables to be used during the control program are adequate, quality and quantity wise
• To ensure that all necessary JRA and TBT have been conducted before commencing the work
• To ensure that the work area is controlled (barriers in place for pressure testing or lifting equipment for instance) and that personnel working in adjacent areas is fully aware of the nature of the task to be performed and its associated risks
• To witness and ensure that control program steps are strictly followed and recorded (pictures, paper charts, electronic files …)
• To sign off the control document during execution of the program, as and where required
• To report and log any non-conformity
• To stop the work in case of non-conformity and re-assess the situation before resuming to discuss with contractor/sub-contractors in case of issues/unconformity during the control program, to look for acceptable solutions in order not to penalize the delivery schedule but still fulfilling the quality standards set by the contract
• To ensure that unconformities are driven towards closure in a timely manner (i.e. without impacting the delivery schedule)
• To ensure that, following completion of the control program, the equipment is back to a state of readiness for starting the next step of the ITP
• To review/approve final documentation (MRBs)
• To participate to COMPANY and contractor audits and follow up closure of identified issues
• To work closely with all involved parties to ensure correct information is transmitted and fully aligned
• To issue weekly report to CPY stating status, look ahead, HSE and quality issues
Required Expertise:
- Previous experience with Flexible pipe manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Testing regime across all phases (from factory acceptance, integration, Stack-Up and/or site receival)
- Knowledge/Experience of manufacturing sequences and relevant Quality regime
- Degree and/or master’s in engineering and/or equivalent relevant professional experience
- QC qualifications/certifications are a plus
- Languages: Fluent in English (French is compulsory)
- Professional Experience: 20 years minimum
- Experience within project/s: 15 years minimum
