Role Summary: The Project Remote Intervention Engineer provides technical expertise in ROV intervention for FEEDs, tenders, and projects managed from GPC offices. Acting as the focal point for ROV-related scopes, the engineer ensures timely delivery of technical documentation, tool readiness, and may support offshore operations.

🔑 Key Responsibilities: General:
  • Promote safety and design integrity.
  • Foster team spirit within project teams.
  • Participate in engineering reviews related to ROV scopes.
  • Support the discipline manager with resource planning and timesheet validation.
  • Lead a team of ROV & Diving engineers and ensure technical support across projects and tenders.
  • Represent the discipline in internal and external meetings.
Project-Specific:
  • Review structure designs for ROV access.
  • Deliver technical proposals and evaluate project solutions.
  • Produce ROV engineering documents (e.g., Tie-In Procedures, ROV Access Reports, Tool & Task Matrices).
  • Define SIT (System Integration Testing) requirements.
  • Specify and procure ROV tools, consumables, and installation aids.
  • Coordinate and participate in SITs, trials, and offshore/onshore operations.
  • Manage equipment mobilization lists and follow-up.
  • Handle technical interfaces with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Collaborate with Aberdeen teams for tooling rental and development.
  • Support project changes and variation orders.
  • Prepare feedback reports and lessons learned.
  • Attend project and discipline meetings.
🧠 Candidate Profile: Technical Skills:
  • ROV tooling and subsea installation.
  • Diverless connection systems (e.g., MQC plates, cobra heads).
  • ROV operations, limitations, and manipulator capabilities.
  • Hydraulic and electrical ROV interfaces.
  • Knowledge of survey, pre-commissioning, and diving scopes.
  • Familiarity with R&D processes is a plus.
Experience:
  • Offshore experience is essential.
  • Proven leadership in ROV-related scopes.
  • Strong interface and process management.
  • Experience in tendering and site/offshore execution.
🌍 Working Conditions:
  • International travel may be required.
  • Offshore or off-site presence during project execution phases.
  • Regular presence at the Bois-Colombes office for project meetings.
