We are currently seeking a Welding Specialist to join a flagship petrochemical expansion project integrated with a world-class refinery. This multi-billion-dollar initiative is one of the most ambitious industrial developments in the region, involving multiple EPCC packages and a global project management team.
🔧 About the Role
As Welding Specialist, you will be the technical authority for all welding-related activities within the engineering and execution phases. You will work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.

🔧 About the Role
As Welding Specialist, you will be the technical authority for all welding-related activities within the engineering and execution phases. You will work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Validate and monitor contractor welding preparations and documentation.
- Review WPS/PQRs, weld maps, NDE matrices, and quality control plans.
- Participate in engineering reviews, audits, and technical meetings.
- Support interface coordination across disciplines (static, piping, rotating, instrumentation, corrosion, inspection).
- Witness welding procedure qualifications and production tests.
- Provide technical input on NCRs, TQs, and waiver requests.
- Contribute to change management and scope evolution processes.
- Support site activities during construction and commissioning phases.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or Welding Engineering.
- Postgraduate specialization in Welding Engineering is essential.
- 10 years of experience in EPC projects within petrochemical or refining sectors.
- Strong command of international codes and standards (ASME VIII, B31.3, IX, API, AWS, EN/ISO).
- Expertise in welding of C/Mn steels, LTCS, LAS, stainless steels (duplex/super duplex), and nickel alloys.
- Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, PAUT, PT, MT); certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in multicultural environments.
- Experience in joint ventures or integrated project teams is an advantage.
- Competitive daily rate with full expatriate package included (housing, transport, annual flights, insurance, etc.).
- Initial assignment in Europe (Italy), followed by relocation to Jubail.
