As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of engineering-based projects, from design and planning through to implementation and commissioning. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational plans for engineering projects.
- Prepare detailed designs, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Oversee production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure and equipment.
- Monitor project progress and performance, resolving issues to minimize delays.
- Identify and secure necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Prepare engineering standards and work specifications.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
About You:
- You are a Specialist Professional (P4 level) with deep expertise in project engineering.
- You have a proven track record of managing large-scale or complex engineering projects with minimal supervision.
- You are confident in coaching and delegating tasks to junior professionals.
- You thrive in solving complex problems and navigating technical challenges.
- You bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in project engineering, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, project controls, and resource planning.
- Ability to work on-site in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
