Job Description

The Project Engineer - Electrical (MEP) is responsible for overseeing and managing the electrical aspects of MEP works in construction projects. This includes coordination with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality execution of electrical systems in line with project specifications, safety standards, and cost objectives.

• Review electrical designs, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
• Plan and execute electrical MEP activities in line with the project schedule.
• Supervise site installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and flag any risks or delays.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure all work is carried out as per project specifications.
• Support procurement by providing technical input on materials and equipment.
• Attend technical meetings, site inspections, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation including method statements, inspection requests, and as-built drawings.
