The Project Engineer - Mechanical (HVAC) is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical works related to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in data center projects. The role ensures that all HVAC installations meet design specifications, industry standards, and project timelines while maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety, and efficiency.
The Project Engineer - Mechanical (HVAC) is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical works related to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in data center projects. The role ensures that all HVAC installations meet design specifications, industry standards, and project timelines while maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work for HVAC systems in data centers.
- Assist in planning and scheduling HVAC-related activities to meet project milestones.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, including precision cooling units, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, and ventilation.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and work execution.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues related to HVAC design or installation.
- Support value engineering initiatives and suggest energy-efficient solutions for data center cooling.
- Maintain updated records of project progress, inspections, and quality control documentation.
- Assist in preparing project reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
