About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to join the Epta UK Contracting team. Reporting to the Installation & Technical Manager and working closely with our Project Managers, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of client projects to the highest standard. This is a permanent, home-based role offering 42.5 hours of flexible working per week, with occasional travel to our Ringwood office as required. As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll benefit from the autonomy to manage your schedule while assisting Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with client expectations. Flexibility is essential, as some evening or weekend work may be required. A solid knowledge of commercial refrigeration installation and project delivery is essential for this position. Your Contribution Support the delivery of projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring works are carried out to the highest standards, safely and efficiently. You'll work under the guidance of the Installation Managers collaboration with Project Managers, coordinating with internal teams and nominated subcontractors to help achieve successful project outcomes. 1. Perform commissioning duties during various installations adhering to both the client and Epta UK specifications 2. Prepare and submit final commissioning reports clearly and explicitly to the Project Manager & Installation & Technical Manager 3. To attend sites to produce dilapidation reports, recommend cost effective solutions to any issues noted 4. To carry out various site surveys as required 5. To support training of other engineers as required 6. Recommend most effective improvements to defective equipment and implement 7. To assist the project team with the supervision of ongoing installations 8. Assist our aftersales department with troubleshooting if necessary
Your journey (qualifications & skills) You bring a strategic mindset, a proactive and adaptable approach, and strong analytical skills, all underpinned by a customer and team focused attitude. Your clear communication skills and collaborative attitude make you a reliable and confident presence on site. Ideally, you will also have: 1. Experienced within the commercial/supermarket retail business 2. Working on HFC, Hydrocarbon and Co2 refrigeration equipment 3. Knowledge on leading control equipment, within our industry 4. Self-motivated and a team player 5. Relevant Refrigeration certification i.e., city & guilds in refrigeration, 2079, HC & Co2 experience.
