Leadership:
- Responsible for leading a team to deliver contract management and Workstream Leadership of all North Sea Platform EPRD, plus joint responsibility for the overall success of all decommissioning activities, working with the wider team to ensure decommissioning campaigns and activities are executed safely, within budget and on schedule.
- Communicates clearly key messages to support delivery of Platform EPRD, including a Vision for success, clarity on plans and progress, early alerts for potential challenges, and clarity on costs, opportunities and threats.
- Work together with contractors, verifiers, all company functions and the decommissioning department to promote and ensure a cohesive and collaborative team environment in which to deliver successful projects.
- Line manage decommissioning resources within their team and work with the Decommissioning Superintendent to support development of personnel within the decommissioning department.
- Ensure compliance with the Decommissioning Programme and any other regulatory interfaces on the project.
- Develop and maintain a positive company culture, including promoting the company Mission Statement and Core Values, maintaining an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and driving continuous improvement.
Decommissioning Focus:
- Take accountability for successful Platform EPRD delivery and joint accountability for the success of all International Division Decommissioning projects and activities.
- Ensure the Platform EPRD Workstream is led through the PDP process, ensure full workstream cost estimating, annual budgeting, effective cost reporting, risk management, overall project planning & milestones, leads scenario planning, compile resource profiles, agree project objectives and metrics, maintain robust management of change, ensure an effective evaluate phase(s) is conducted so learnings can be taken forward.
- Leads the Contract Management for the Platform EPRD Workstream, working closely with SCCO and the Decommissioning Superintendents, ensuring all contracts are managed to deliver safe, environmentally responsible and value adding activities in line with the contract and commercial agreements, including, Platform EPRD Removals Services Contracts (RSC), Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS) and all other support services required for Platform EPRD delivery.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, with key contractors to provide foundations for dealing with challenges effectively, such as conflict management, change management, potential variations etc.
- Responsible for working closely with the SHE Team to ensure all regulatory requirements are met, including the Decommissioning Programme, permits, licences, acknowledgements, notifications and consents (PLANC), environmental waste accounting and legacy requirements.
- Establish active and consistent risk (threat and opportunity) management throughout all decommissioning phases and ensure clear communication to the business, identify where escalation is required.
- Responsible for effective turnaround and close-out of Contractor issued Technical Queries, efficient resolution of any Contractor Variation Order Requests and co-ordination of the Management of Change
- (MOC) process. Effective recording and future implementation of all lessons learned.
- Ensure delivery of safe, efficient and compliant recycling and disposal activities at nominated disposal yard(s). Responsible for reporting and evidence gathering necessary to complete the Decommissioning Programme close-out process.
- Ensure effective and value-adding reporting is in place, including financial control and reporting. Take accountability for financial budgets for the Platform EPRD Workstream.
- Responsible for working with the Information Management (IM) team to ensure the quality and completeness of knowledge & project content is maintained during the course of the project in accordance with IM procedures and to protect any contractual positions that come with lump sum contracts.
For all decommissioning activities:
- Support the Decommissioning focal points with compilation of the annual department budget and have responsibility for own lines therein.
- Share in the team accountability for overall department financial performance.
- Promote a culture of cost efficiency.
- Be open-minded and inquisitive to developments in techniques, commercial models and technologies etc applicable to decommissioning projects.
- Take a leading role in maintaining and building effective external interfaces, including those with regulators, industry bodies, supply chain members and other operators.

- Technical/Engineering degree or a number of years of experience in a technical field.

- Previous experience of disposal yard activity management.
