Are you passionate about Sales, enjoy promoting technical features, and play well with others? Then this position might be the right one for you! Field Engineering is part of NOV Rig Technologies, Aftermarket ,and our primary task is to deliver upgrades to drill ships and drilling rigs.
As an Electrical Sales Engineer in Field Engineering, you will be responsible for handling incoming requests, as well as pro-actively presenting upgrade opportunities considered valuable for our customers. The position also requires you to work closely with our technical disciplines to provide solutions in accordance with the customer's requirements.
About the Role
Join NOV Rig Technologies, Aftermarket as an Electrical Sales Engineer and play a key role in delivering upgrade solutions for some of the world's most advanced drilling assets.
Based primarily in our Forfar, UK office, you will work at the intersection of sales and engineering-acting as a technical and commercial interface between customers and NOV's internal engineering teams. You will manage incoming customer enquiries, proactively identify upgrade opportunities, and develop tailored electrical solutions that enhance safety, performance, and lifecycle value.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Manage incoming customer enquiries and proactively identify aftermarket upgrade opportunities
- Own the complete sales process from enquiry through to contract award and handover to project execution
- Collaborate closely with engineering and technical disciplines to develop compliant, customer-focused solutions
- Support commercial discussions and participate in contract negotiations
- Ensure all activities comply with NOV company standards and HSE requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Field Engineering team
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Sales engineer experience (desirable)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English (essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (essential)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and procurement processes (desirable)
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry (desirable)
