Job purpose:

• Takes the ownership of the specific tasks in a project:
• Developing and checking Electrical deliverables.
• Coordination with other disciplines, client, vendor, Subcontractor

Reporting lines and interactions:

• Hierarchically reports to: Lead Engineer.
• Operationally reports to: Manager HOD, Electrical Manager.
• Key interactions: Internally, externally as needed.

Main Accountabilities:

• Gathering design inputs based on field surveys before proceeding with engineering.
• Lead the electrical design efforts for complex onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities, industrial plants, and other large-scale projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to industry standards.
• Oversee and review the preparation of MDR, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and approve detailed single line diagrams, metering, and protection diagrams, ensuring they meet project specifications and safety requirements.
• Design and validate substation layouts, including equipment placement, cable routing, and integration with other systems.
• Lead the development of field layouts, including cable routing, earthing arrangements, lighting, lightning protection, and stub-up locations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Supervise the extraction of MTO to ensure accurate procurement and resource planning.
• Prepare and review offshore electrical survey checklists, ensuring all site survey requirements are met for safe and efficient operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering best practices in electrical design.
• Ensure all designs meet quality, safety, and environmental standards, aligning with project and client specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and troubleshooting activities to resolve complex electrical engineering issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate internal and external reporting on engineering progress, issues, and risks.
• Promote continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and standards to enhance project delivery.

• IT Skills:
  • For 2D: AutoCAD / MicroStation
  • For 3D: E3D / S3D (Self and review)
