About the role

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee quality assurance across two products. You will manage a team of 5 automation testers, establish quality standards, and drive testing excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Playwright with proven leadership skills and the ability to champion quality at strategic and tactical levels.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop 5 automation testers
  • Allocate resources across products based on priority and risk
  • Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Define and implement quality strategy and roadmap across products
  • Establish testing standards, best practices, and quality gates
  • Drive quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks
  • Champion shift-left testing and ensure compliance with standards

Test Automation
  • Architect scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright
  • Oversee automation coverage targets (85%+) and ROI metrics
  • Provide hands-on support for complex automation challenges
  • Optimize testing processes and CI/CD pipeline integration
  • Implement automation reporting and dashboards

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Lead test planning for major releases
  • Communicate quality risks and progress to stakeholders
  • Build consensus on quality standards across engineering teams

Skills and Experience

Technical Skills
  • 4+ years test automation experience with Playwright or similar
  • Proficiency in C# .Net or equivalent
  • Test framework architecture and implementation
  • API, performance, and security testing expertise
  • CI/CD tools and Agile/DevOps methodologies
  • Advanced Git workflows

Leadership Skills
  • 2+ years leading technical teams
  • Proven mentoring and people development track record
  • Strategic thinking and long-term planning ability
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication
  • Experience driving organizational change

Quality Expertise
  • Test strategy and risk-based testing
  • Automation architecture patterns
  • Manual and exploratory testing
  • Test data management and environment orchestration
  • Quality metrics and defect lifecycle management
