EngineeringWe are looking for a Site Quality Manager for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Lubango, Angola
Start Date: December 2025
End Date: April/May 2026
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Previous experience on similar project and a background of Quality Management of at least 5 years
- Portuguese speaking candidates (candidates must have a good understanding of Portuguese. Spanish speakers may also be considered)
- Ability to read and understand documentation in English
- Available for the full duration of the position
- Legal authorization to work in Angola and ability to secure a visa in time
- Willingness to work on a 12-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation schedule (possibility to negotiate). Sundays off and Saturdays (on need basis)
Main responsibilities are:
- Implementing the approved Project Quality Management Plan in the Project
- Reviewing Inspection and Tests Plans, Inspection and Tests Records, Method Statement and all site construction quality documentation.
Interface with Site construction Managers to manage Quality Activities
- Ensuring relevant training of Site personnel on Quality Requirements
- Informing about deviations and ensuring participation of relevant parties for establishment of mitigation plans
Managing the QC activities on site:
- Ensuring the relevant resources are available with the right competencies at each step of the project
- Ensuring the Quality Construction documentation (ITP, ITR, MS, DWG…) are available at the correct revision, well understood and implemented at site.
- Planning the inspection in collaboration with the Site Construction manager and teams
- Ensuring the COMPANY representative are notified of inspections on time and as per ITPs Inspection points.
- Ensuring the inspection are conducted in accordance with ITPs and timely with Construction Progress
- Ensuring conformity with Project approved documentation at each step of construction.
- Ensuring recording of inspection through the dedicated Digital Tool implemented on the project.
- Identifying and reporting to COMPANY any deviations and non-conformity as per Contractual requirement.
Managing Non-Conformities on site.
- Reporting any Non-conformity to COMPANY site representatives
- Reporting on the Digital Tool the Non-conformities when identified
- Conducting Root Cause analysis and updating NCR form in Digital tool withing 5 days of occurrence.
- Establishing relevant mitigation plan (correction + corrective actions) to resolve NCRs
- Ensuring approval of mitigation plan by COMPANY representative.
- Follow-up implementation of Mitigation plans and collecting evidences to attach to NCRs for close out.
Ensuring Daily compilation and review of Final Documentation
- Ensuring issuance, review, approval and transmission for acceptance to COMPANY of QC records
- Updating QC record issuance status and related KPIs
- Compiling Construction Final documentation as per accepted Index.
Implementing the Digital Tool at site
- Updating the QC records templates
- Training the site team as relevant
- Administrating the tool to ensure relevant inspections are created by QC inspection team
- Ensuring approval at each level of QC records
- Ensuring update of the QA/QC dashboards
- Maintaining traceability for control equipments and for each equipment installed
Following up and reporting Quality Status at site including,
- Main events,
- KPIs
- Status of Inspections vs construction
- Status of QC records vs inspections
- Areas of concerns
- Following up calibration of control and measurement equipment
- Attending all relevant site meetings,
- Managing Weekly Quality Meetings with COMPANY.
- Reporting Monthly KPIs to Offshore Quality Manager
- Interfacing with COMPANY representatives on Quality Related topics.
