You are a professional looking for an opportunity to expose your skills and grow? Emerson has an appealing role for you - Automation Engineer in our team from Cluj!

You will be responsible for implementing projects that deliver Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for process industries automation, including Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, and Refining sectors. Working under the supervision of senior engineers, you will be involved in project implementation and factory acceptance test phases. You will also create customer-facing documentation aligned with project plans and functional requirements, supporting the project team in delivering engineering work.

We look forward to seeing your application!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • To support Lead Engineers / Project Managers in understanding, managing, and achieving each customer's expectations.
  • To take ownership of the engineering activities (DeltaV DCS configuration, testing, commissioning, and start-up) on all allocated tasks and proactively use methodologies, resources, and techniques for minimizing the execution cost, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality standard.
  • To provide Lead Engineers / Project Managers with all necessary support and information to ensure that they are fully informed of resource requirements, progress, and areas of risk for the allocated tasks.
  • To fully understand the scope of work within their portfolio, ensure that it is delivered to the requisite quality, budget and schedule and that the relevant Senior Engineers or Lead Engineers are fully advised, at the earliest opportunity, of any customer-initiated changes in scope.
  • To ensure engineering activities align with the Company's quality control processes and meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • To acquire, maintain, and actively share knowledge and experience with the engineering team and the wider organization.
  • Where the business determines that the scope of a project does not justify having a separate Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Engineer, then the roles will be combined, and the Engineer will undertake several roles.
  • To take on other responsibilities or tasks, including those related to Ethics, Health, Safety and Environment, and Information Security policies that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. The business reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments in line with business requirements.

Who you are:

You are the first to spot possible future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace. You consistently apply a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions. You adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse collaborators. You model and encourage the expression of diverse ideas and opinions empowering your team. You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in automation project execution for different industry segments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Metals & Mining, or Pharmaceutical industries) with DCS and/or PLC good technical knowledge.
  • Proficient in English with a third European language preferred (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Understanding of batch process control (ISA-88), S88 recipe management, and GMP compliance is a plus.
  • Computer literate (MS Office) with software programming skills.
  • Willingness to travel with a European focus mainly for shorter periods (up to 50%) as the need arises.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry (pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices).
