This Position reports to:
Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will ensure that suppliers meet the manufacturing, quality, capacity and delivery standards required by the company, through technical evaluation, process development and continuous improvement.

The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Conduct technical and process audits at supplier plants, as well as validate manufacturing capabilities, quality, regulatory compliance; and develop suppliers with competitive costs and optimal processes.
  • Implement continuous improvement plans for critical processes, and support the resolution of technical and quality issues. Coordinate APQP, PPAP, and process validation activities, as well as evaluate the quote (RFQ) to discuss with the supplier which cost breakdown category falls outside the expected cost.
  • Monitor supplier performance indicators during the development and implementation process. Support the updating of drawings based on process capability tolerances. Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (8D, DMAIC).
  • Participate in new product launches from a manufacturing perspective. Ensure suppliers are ready for mass production. Support the design of stamping tools by evaluating strip layouts and STP files, ensuring they meet basic stamping requirements.
  • Work with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics to ensure supply chain success. Facilitate technical communication between the company and suppliers. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs, defining and leading testing activities.


Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, or supplier development.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (punching, machining, stamping, injection molding, welding, painting, electroplating, etc.).
  • Experience with quality management tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards (preferred).
  • Experience with effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical leadership.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel.
