Planning Engineer

Location: UAE

Contract: Permanent / Full-time

Role Purpose

Develop, maintain, and implement planning and scheduling tools for project execution, with a strong focus on programming, data analysis, and reporting to support effective project management and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any engineering discipline; Diploma in Computer Engineering advantageous
• Minimum 6 years' experience in programming, primarily using VB.Net
• Awareness of EPC oil & gas project requirements or operations
• Proficient in application coding using standard rules and practices

Key Skills

• Strong communication skills in English
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, and Word
• Good typing speed and accuracy

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project planning and scheduling tools
• Implement programming solutions to automate reporting and data analysis
• Analyse project data to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making
• Collaborate with project teams to understand workflow requirements and provide coding solutions
• Prepare and maintain documentation for planning tools and reports
• Assist in training team members on the use of planning and scheduling tools
