A leading oil and gas operator is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to maximise asset value across a portfolio of onshore and offshore fields. The role involves leading reservoir evaluation, production forecasting, reserves management, and field development planning. The successful candidate will integrate geological, geophysical, drilling, production, and commercial data to optimise reservoir performance and support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Reservoir Characterization & Analysis
- Build, update, and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models for field development and production optimisation
- Conduct material balance analysis, decline curve analysis, and pressure-transient interpretation
- Integrate multidisciplinary data to refine reservoir understanding and quantify uncertainties
Field Development & Optimisation
- Develop and evaluate depletion plans, secondary/tertiary recovery strategies, and well placement recommendations
- Assess performance of existing wells and reservoirs, and propose production improvement initiatives (e.g., ESP optimisation, stimulation, workovers)
- Support appraisal drilling programs, well planning, and execution reviews to optimise reservoir outcomes
Reserves Management
- Prepare annual reserves estimates in line with corporate and SPE-PRMS standards
- Lead reserves audits and provide technical justification to internal and external stakeholders
Technical Studies & Economic Evaluation
- Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analyses to support investment decisions
- Collaborate with Petroleum Economics teams to evaluate development concepts and project economics
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management
Operational Support & Integration
