Are you a Structural or Civil Engineer looking to grow your career within large-scale heavy-industry projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading engineering and technology business specialising in delivering complex plant and equipment to major industrial clients worldwide.
 
You’ll work as part of an expert engineering team, contributing to the design and coordination of structural and civil solutions for major process plants, including blast furnace and metallurgical installations. This role offers exposure to international design houses, high-value engineering projects, and the full lifecycle from concept to installation.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Produce and review structural design deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for structural and civil elements across assigned projects.
  • Coordinate work packages across internal teams and global design partners.
  • Ensure designs meet company standards, legislation, and project requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, safety assessments and risk workshops.
  • Support site activities when required – ensuring structures are installed and tested to standard.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
 
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in Structural or Civil Engineering within heavy industry, industrial plants, energy, steelworks, infrastructure, manufacturing, or similar environments.
  • Strong structural design skills with the ability to carry out and review structural calculations (MathCAD / Excel).
  • Basic CAD capability (Autodesk preferred – training can be given).
  • Understanding of engineering standards, safety regulations, and design compliance.
  • Confident working independently and coordinating with wider engineering functions.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in metals/iron/steel, EPC projects, or turnkey industrial plants.
