Avio Aero is a world class Leader of aero engine propulsion, engaged in design and development of turbo prop Catalyst engine dedicated for commercial and Eurodrone application.

In this spirit, we are looking for talented engineer in Avio Polska Bielsko-Biała location who will Lead Design activities of power turbine rotor.
Aim of this crucial role is to push existing civil configuration thru design tollgates and reviews responding to specific military application needs and contribute to engine certification.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute/lead engineering activities related to mechanical design development and maturation of turboprop engine on turbine rotors (disks)
• Formulate and implement tasks/project plans, monitor and report status
• Collaborate with other teams across disciplines and organizations, including hardware suppliers to ensure product performance and safety
• Participate as an author and presenter in technical and program reviews
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks
• Analyze and document certification test results to substantiate requirements from aviation regulatory agencies
• Coordinate technical tasks of external resources especially for FEM analyses

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering: Mechanical, Aviation, Physics or related
• Fundamental technical knowledge of aviation engine components, fatigue, mechanics and finite element methodology
• Strong oral and written communication skills - English, Polish
• Problem solving mindset
• Ability to work effectively in multinational team and changing environment

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in structural finite element model analysis (Ansys, HyperWorks - HyperMesh, HyperView or equivalent)
• Practical use of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes and material application in aviation industry
• Fundamental knowledge and skills related to drawings drafting and 3d modelling. (CAD - UG)
