Your assignment
You will work on creating a novel FPGA debug method for ASML's hardware designs. This internship offers hands-on experience with FPGA design and verification, while collaborating with experienced engineers in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Conceptualize and implement an FPGA debug method for ASML designs.
- Assist in designing and implementing FPGA modules using VHDL or Verilog.
- Support simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis of digital designs.
- Participate in lab testing, debugging, and validation of FPGA hardware.
- Document design processes, test results, and technical learnings.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on integration tasks.
- Learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies for FPGA development.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
- Are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
- Have interest and basic experience in FPGA design and digital systems.
- Are proactive, analytical, and collaborative in your approach to problem-solving.
- Can work with hardware lab equipment and have basic programming skills in VHDL or Verilog.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Other requirements you need to meet:
- You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
- Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
- You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
- If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
