In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

Job Summary:
The role will provide overall management and coordination of SGB's Permits & Concessions process across the entire NPD lifecycle including live and post design projects to agreed KPIs.

Scope of Responsibilities:
You will be a key individual contributor and part of the Safran Seats GB Engineering Projects office. You will provide support to projects and engineering across Delivery, Test and Prototyping, and Sustaining Production.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide overall management and coordination of SGB's Permits & Concessions process across live projects and post design projects, acting as a focal within the business for all matters relating to Permits & Concessions.
• Oversee and manage the activities of the SGB Permits & Concessions team ensuring delivery to agreed KPIs.
• Drive improvement into the end-to-end turnaround time for Permits & Concessions, facilitating all functional inputs and approvals to expedite the process where required.
• Act as a liaison between the Engineering IPT's, Permits & Concessions team, and Manufacturing, heightening the knowledge of product designs amongst our production teams, and increasing knowledge of Manufacturing processes amongst Engineering teams.
• Proactively respond to problems in the production or assembly of parts, subsystems and products.
• To facilitate clear concise communication of proposed solutions to across the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure quick and appropriate resolution of design / manufacturing issues.
• Ensure that permits and concessions clearly define the intent of the deviation request including a proposed disposition in order to appropriately facilitate efficient downstream activities, such as signatory reviews and approvals and / or the implementation of engineering changes or industrialisation improvements.
• Contribute to the completion of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for the implementation of permanent solutions.

Candidate skills & requirements

Knowledge, Experience, Training and Qualifications:
-Be self-reliant, hardworking, pro-active, motivated and an achiever.
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
-Able to establish good working relationships with all stakeholders.
-Good knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality and Project Management.
-Have at least working knowledge of PLM and ERP systems.
-Have strong analytical and problem solving skills with a pragmatic hands on approach, including the use of appropriate data handling software.
-Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
