Responsibilities

The process engineer at Prysmian will be responsible for the execution of the following:

  • Work in a close cooperation with the cable design department. Follow the design requirements and define the correct process parameters of the respective lines to ensure that the product is compliant with the design requirements.
  • Monitor and analysis of the process data on a daily basis to ensure the stable production and the compliance of the product with the requirements. Emphasis should be given on the output and quality compliance.
  • Develop and maintain the production documents such as working instructions and working methods for the specific lines which you will be responsible for.
  • Thorough analysis of the production data with the aim to continuously improve the process parameters in terms of production capacity, compliance with the requirements and material efficiency. The aim is to develop and upgrade process capability, tooling and machine performance for yield improvement, safety, cost and productivity.
  • Working also on side projects such as energy consumption analysis and sustainability. Prysmian
  • The process engineer should monitor energy consumption of the machines and proactively propose technical solutions to improve it. Additionally, sustainability is another important topic to which the process engineer is expected to contribute by helping the R&D department with the qualification/industrialization of recycled materials and minimize the usage of consumables in the production process.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications:

• MSc degree in Engineering

• Familiar with HV cable constructions

• Proven experience in a similar position

• Proven knowledge of efficiency-enhancing principles/tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation

capability.

• Highly self-motivated, with a keen, hands-on approach.

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

• Fluent English
