About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will provide engineering support across design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems for industrial and commercial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to design improvements, system optimization, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and review mechanical systems and components in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
* Prepare calculations, technical specifications, and supporting documentation for mechanical equipment and systems.
* Review vendor proposals, designs, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities on site.
* Conduct inspections, quality checks, and risk assessments to ensure mechanical integrity.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, and project management teams.
* Provide technical support to internal teams, clients, and contractors.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and project outcomes.
* Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction, industrial, or oil & gas sectors.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, BS).
* Experience in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with site supervision, installation, and commissioning procedures.
* Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, risk assessments, and project documentation.
