Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Engineers and Coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Supervise all commercial and execution activities for Field Engineering projects, including quoting, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and client communication.
- Identify, develop, and close project opportunities by working directly with customers to understand needs, propose solutions, and prepare commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, and Field Service to promote Field Engineering capabilities and expand project scope opportunities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure on time, on budget delivery.
- Serve as the main interface between engineering, supply chain, production, and field service teams to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
- Manage weekly project reviews with the team to assess progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with financial and operational targets.
- Support customer meetings and project reviews, ensuring Field Engineering delivers consistent and professional communication.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflow, reduce rework, and improve data accuracy within ERP and project tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with NOV policies, HSE requirements, and API/ISO quality standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Conduct regular one on one meetings with team members to support career development and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote cross training and knowledge sharing between mechanical, electrical, and software focused projects.
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment where employees feel valued and empowered to make decisions.
- Encourage proactive problem solving and ownership across all project phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Software, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years of engineering or project management experience in oil & gas.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (PowerBi, Tracker2, or equivalent) and Microsoft Project.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, cost control, and project forecasting.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to NOV's safety culture and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or managing projects that include software or control system components; ability to collaborate effectively with software and electrical engineering teams.
- Demonstrated financial analysis and cost management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking for complex engineering projects.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a positive team culture, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience coordinating international projects and customer relations.
