Quality Assurance Manager

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to take the lead for all aspects of quality management within our nut snacking factory. The QA Manager will provide quality management & leadership to team members across all departments providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice to deliver line, area & site objectives.
Position type: Full time, permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Closing Date: Friday 2nd January 2025

Quality Assurance Manager

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to take the lead for all aspects of quality management within our nut snacking factory. The QA Manager will provide quality management & leadership to team members across all departments providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice to deliver line, area & site objectives.

Hours: 37.5 per week
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Closing Date: Friday 2nd January 2025
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with BRC and major retailer standards
- Support the Technical Manager in managing and developing a team including Quality, Hygiene, and Technical staff
- Support and manage allergen management, product testing, and audit readiness
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
- Keep the Quality Management System (QMS) up to date and compliant and update and maintain hygiene and factory documentation.
- Support the Technical Manager to manage budgets and plan resources to meet financial targets.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Drive a culture of best practice, innovation, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory compliance
- Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety qualifications
- Experience working with UK major retailers (e.g., Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury's)
- A collaborative, resilient leader with excellent communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Auditing & CI tools / techniques
