- Oversee supplier qualification processes to ensure vendors can consistently deliver products and components that meet engineering drawings and specifications.
- Lead product and manufacturing process qualification at assigned suppliers, ensuring timely completion aligned with business needs.
- Execute rigorous new supplier evaluation and onboarding, including quality and compliance audits, in collaboration with sourcing teams to meet business objectives.
- Perform surveillance audits to confirm suppliers maintain effective process controls, robust quality systems, and stringent product acceptance standards.
- Support serial production and product release activities, ensuring compliance with project and customer requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct inspections at supplier sites to verify product quality compliance.
- Facilitate customer witness inspections such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Customer Observation Points (COP) at supplier facilities.
- Oversee testing at independent third-party laboratories.
- Manage Supplier Responsibility Governance (SRG) metrics, conduct audits per regional plans, and collect process data for Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics.
- Perform process capability analysis, drive supplier improvements, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to address recurring issues.
- Handle supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs), service notices, warranty claims, and deviation requests, acting as the primary technical interface with suppliers and engineering.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Serve as the technical liaison between sourcing, design engineering, and materials/process engineering teams while engaging suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to quality procedures and specifications, providing technical guidance to suppliers for compliance.
- Collaborate with commercial, engineering, and manufacturing teams to remove barriers impacting quality and delivery.
- Provide sourcing quality input during product design reviews and assist in supplier base development, including onboarding new suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience in electrical/electronics engineering, design, quality, or manufacturing within electronics and instrumentation products.
- Familiarity with PCBAs, wire harnesses, cables, control cabinets, sensors, transducers, switches, and control transformers.
- Minimum 3 years in supply chain or supplier quality roles.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, international standards, and manufacturing processes; capable of leading technical reviews with suppliers.
- Expertise in PCBA quality checks and wiring schematic interpretation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills in English and local language; ability to work in global, cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (>50%) on short notice.
