Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a new colleague to join our Life Science team in Ballerup. The position is ideal for a newly graduated engineer or someone with 1-2 years of experience within automation who is eager to grow professionally. You will become part of a skilled and experienced team with strong collaboration and a supportive environment. You will primarily work with two of ABB's key technology platforms: our established legacy system, Sattline, and our industry-leading control system, 800xA.
The role offers a varied workday with exciting and various technologies combined with close teamwork. Periodic travel to other locations, including Kalundborg, should be expected.
Team Dynamic
You will be joining a diverse and collaborative team that brings together a broad range of experience and perspectives. The team includes 11 members across Ballerup, Middelfart, and Kalundborg, representing various nationalities and professional backgrounds. We work in an open office environment with a strong technical focus and contribute across different industries and business areas, fostering knowledge sharing and a dynamic work culture.

- Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions in Sattline and 800xA.
- Working on projects and tasks within Life Science and GxP environments.
- Collaborating closely with experienced colleagues in a strong and supportive team.
- Participating in troubleshooting, optimization, and documentation of automation systems.
- Ensuring quality and compliance with customer deliveries.
- Supporting the team's overall competencies and knowledge sharing.
- Engaging in a varied workday with changing tasks and technologies.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of automation solutions.
Qualifications for the role
- Educational background such as Automation Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer with automation experience, Process Engineer with control focus, or Software Engineer with industrial systems experience.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and advise customers on optimal solutions.
- Skilled communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Organized, motivated, and taking responsibility for your tasks.
- Curious and eager to learn new technologies and areas.
- Experience or knowledge within Life Science or GxP environments.
- Willingness to travel periodically to other ABB locations, including Kalundborg.
