Role synopsis

Responsible for providing engineering expertise under the direction of a Project Manager for delivering a substantial subset of a moderately complex project and directing contractors and for cross-discipline coordination with other project team members to ensure the technical integrity of the project and to complete assigned work activities across all phases of the project are delivered in accordance with BP, HSSE, and ethical standards and in compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer - Facilities to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of facility-related projects, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer - Facilities, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating all phases of facility project execution, from design development to commissioning.
  • Developing and implementing robust project execution plans, ensuring adherence to established frameworks and methodologies.
  • Managing project and construction safety protocols, fostering a strong Project HSSE culture throughout all project activities.
  • Overseeing the quality of work performed, implementing rigorous quality control measures to meet project specifications and standards.
  • Conducting comprehensive requirements management, ensuring all project deliverables align with stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks through effective Risk Management strategies.
  • Developing and managing project schedules and resources, optimizing allocation to achieve project milestones efficiently.
  • Managing supplier relationships and conducting sourcing management activities to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, employing strong Stakeholder Management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Supporting the commissioning of new facilities and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and operational readiness.

Total years of experience:

  • 10+ Years
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in the oil and gas industry or a related sector

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in Project Engineering, specifically within facilities management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Commissioning and Construction project lifecycles.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Design development and delivery principles.
  • Proficiency in various Frameworks and methodologies for project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Project and construction safety standards and Project HSSE best practices.
  • Exceptional skills in Project execution planning, Schedule and resources management.
  • Solid experience in Quality control and assurance processes.
  • Ability to effectively perform Requirements Management and Risk Management.
  • Experience with Sourcing Management and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability in Conflict Management and Stakeholder Management.
