JOB OVERVIEW
A major energy operator is seeking an experienced Head of Contracts to lead post-award contract management for a large-scale onshore capital project in Qatar. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the commercial and contractual performance of a high-value EPCC contract and supporting safe, predictable project delivery to schedule and budget.
The role operates in a highly visible, fast-paced project environment and requires strong leadership, negotiation, and commercial judgement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the contracts team responsible for post-award management of a large EPCC contract through to close-out.

Provide commercial and contractual direction, including value protection and change order management.

Support claims and dispute prevention and resolution in line with governance requirements.

Maintain close working relationships with project management, legal, supply chain, risk, and functional leadership teams.

Develop and implement post-award contract management strategies across the onshore project.

Coordinate preparation for contract evaluations and end-of-contract close-out activities.

Provide central coordination of contractual correspondence and responses to EPC contractors.

Support senior management with claims evaluation, planning, and contractual risk mitigation strategies.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation activities supporting major project delivery.

Support recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing contract professionals, including local talent development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor degree in business, law, engineering, or a related discipline.
MANDATORY EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum 10 years experience in post-award contract management on large lump sum energy or infrastructure projects.

Proven experience working on multi-billion capital projects.
-
Candidates with backgrounds in project management, construction management, or project controls in similar environments will be considered.
