The Process Engineering Manager leads the process engineering function at theScheemda manufacturing plant, supporting the production of adhesives,lubricants, electronic inks, and graphite-milled products. This role isresponsible for driving process performance, supporting new technologyintroductions, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that increaseoperational efficiency, quality, and scalability.
The manager will act as the keyinterface between plant operations and the global technology network, ensuringthat process design, control, and optimization efforts are aligned withbusiness and operational goals. The role requires strong technical expertise,cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to solving complexprocess challenges

The Process Engineering Manager leads the process engineering function at theScheemda manufacturing plant, supporting the production of adhesives,lubricants, electronic inks, and graphite-milled products. This role isresponsible for driving process performance, supporting new technologyintroductions, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that increaseoperational efficiency, quality, and scalability.

The role requires strong technical expertise,cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to solving complexprocess challenges
What you'll do
1.Process Engineering Leadership
- Lead thedevelopment, optimization, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes toimprove efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Supportdaily operations by providing technical expertise and problem-solving guidanceon process deviations and inefficiencies.
- Manageprocess documentation, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, andstandard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Overseeimplementation of process control improvements and advanced automationtechnologies.
- Lead orsupport capital projects related to process upgrades, expansions, anddebottlenecking.
2. NewTechnology & Product Introduction
- Serve asthe plant's technical contact for process technology transfers and the scale-upof new products.
- Collaboratewith R&D, product development, and global engineering teams to ensuresmooth implementation of new processes.
- Coordinateprocess validation and commissioning activities for new installations orproduct introductions.
- Ensurereadiness of the production environment and documentation to support technologyintroduction and long-term operability.
3.Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
- Identifyopportunities to reduce cycle times, improve yields, lower energy consumption,and increase plant throughput.
- Applystructured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g.,Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis).
- Useprocess data and digital tools to monitor KPIs and implement data-drivenprocess optimizations.
- Collaboratewith operations and maintenance teams to enhance equipment reliability andprocess stability.
4.Digitalization & Technical Innovation
- Championthe use of data analytics, digital dashboards, and process monitoring systemsto improve process visibility and decision-making.
- Identifyand implement advanced automation solutions and control strategies to driveconsistency and reduce variability.
- Staycurrent with industry trends and emerging technologies in process engineeringand apply relevant innovations to plant operations.
5.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Workclosely with operations, maintenance, quality, and HSE teams to ensure processreliability, compliance, and product quality.
- Act asthe primary liaison with global and regional technology functions, ensuringalignment on technical standards, best practices, and innovation roadmaps.
- Communicateprocess performance updates and project progress to site and regionalleadership.
- Supporttraining of plant personnel on new processes, procedures, and technologies.
6.Technical Compliance & Documentation
- Ensureall process engineering work complies with internal standards and externalregulations related to manufacturing operations.
- Maintainaccurate and up-to-date technical documentation for all processes andequipment.
- Supportaudits and inspections by providing technical information and ensuring processtraceability.
- Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ProcessEngineering, or a related field.
- Minimumof 5 years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturingenvironment.
- Experiencein the processing of adhesives, lubricants, electronic inks, or similarspecialty chemicals is preferred.
- Strongexpertise in process design, process control, and scale-up methodologies.
- Experiencewith process modeling tools and digital data analysis platforms is an asset.
- Provenproject management skills with the ability to lead cross-functionalinitiatives.
- Stronganalytical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills.
