Marine Work Engineer
Responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing marine construction projects such as ports, harbors, jetties, breakwaters, and coastal protection works. Ensures compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Design:
Prepare and review designs for marine structures based on civil engineering principles.
Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations for marine projects.
Construction Supervision:
Monitor and supervise marine construction activities to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
Technical Analysis:
Perform structural analysis and load calculations for marine infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with international marine engineering standards and local regulations.
Quality & Safety:
Implement quality control measures and safety protocols on-site.
Conduct risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation.
Maintain accurate records of project activities and approvals.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Marine or Coastal Engineering specialisation preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in marine construction projects (ports, jetties, dredging, breakwaters).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and marine design software. Knowledge of geotechnical and hydrodynamic principles.
Soft Skills:
Strong project management and communication skills. Ability to work in challenging marine environments.
