Overview
An international energy operator is seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to join its Projects Engineering Support function. This is a technically engaging role working on large-scale oil and gas facilities, offering exposure to complex project interfaces and multi-disciplinary delivery environments.

You will play a key role in ensuring piping and valve engineering activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with recognised industry standards throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver piping and valve engineering activities in compliance with regulatory, project, and engineering requirements

• Resolve technical issues during design and execution phases, escalating where required

• Support project execution teams with engineering input and coordination

• Contribute to the development and update of engineering procedures and project documentation

• Review and support engineering work performed by contractors and third-party service providers

• Ensure piping design, specification, and procurement activities align with approved project philosophies

• Provide technical guidance during FEED, detailed engineering, and construction phases

• Support multi-disciplinary coordination and contribute specialist input where required

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and delivery of engineering activities to meet project milestones

Health, Safety, and Quality

• Ensure all activities comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

• Promote safe working practices across all project phases

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in piping engineering within the oil and gas industry

• At least 3 years of experience supporting project execution or project management teams

• Experience working with EPC contractors and multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of piping and valve engineering principles and industry codes

• Ability to manage technical interfaces across internal and external stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Clear and professional written and spoken English

• Proficient with standard engineering design and analysis tools

• Able to work effectively in a structured, process-driven project environment
