We are looking for a Junior Commissioning Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

Start Date: March 2026

Duration: 12 months (renewable)Start date:

Location: Sohar, Oman

Service Status: Resident (5 days per week)

Qualification and Experience required:

• This position is open to local hire only (expat in Oman)
• Master degree in Chemical or petroleum engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Language requirements Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)
• Professional Experience: +10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry with proven experience with large onshore plants and LNG plants.
• Several years of proven experience in Commissioning and operation stage of LNG projects.
• Experience in similar position (years): +5 years' experience.

Service Purpose:

• The Junior Commissioning Engineer is part of the team for the LNG Bunkering Project, a key initiative within OQEP and company transition strategy. In this critical role, they will be responsible for ensuring the Completeness of commissioning activities performed by CONTRACTOR to ensure these Systems are fully operational for plant Start-up. They will report directly to the Commissioning & Start-up Site Lead.
• The Junior Commissioning Engineer shall ensure that the preparation and execution of Operational Test are in accordance with Procedure and specification. They shall also ensure a smooth handover to the Operation Team according to the priorities defined.
