What will you be doing in this role?
As a Condition Monitoring Systems Lead Engineer working for HMH’s Maintenance and Reliability Services, you will be able to support HMH`s clients by understanding and improving the condition monitoring data acquisition systems used to provide equipment insights.

These systems allow HMH to understand equipment health status, to estimate remaining useful life, and accurately detect abnormal operating conditions to predict failures.
By identifying potential issues before they become critical, you'll play an essential part in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented professional who is passionate about machinery, automation and communications systems to support data analytics.
For this role, we expect you to bring relevant and practical work experience, and we believe that it is very advantageous if you also have formal education within electrical / automation / mechatronic engineering.

The main requirements we ideally think you should meet are the following:
  • Bachelor or Master in electrical, automation or mechatronic engineering.
  • Practical experience in automation or electrical work.
  • General knowledge of PLC and PLC communication systems.
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques such as Vibration and Oil analysis, Thermography, Ultra-sound measurement, Ultrasonic detection, etc.
  • Knowledge of condition-based maintenance, reliability analysis and applied predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and some practical experience with network communication set-ups.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools.
  • General knowledge of Drilling Equipment in offshore facilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Norwegian language is a plus, but not a requirement. 
Additionally, it is considered a plus if you hold the following certification:
  • ISO category I qualification, according to ISO 18436-2 (Vibration monitoring and diagnostics)
Work location: Kristiansand
Contract duration: 6 months with option for extension
Start date: ASAP
