Overview

We are seeking a Piping Engineer to provide technical support to the Projects Engineering Support Division. The role focuses on piping and valves design, project management support, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs in compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.

Reporting & Interfaces

• Reports to: Lead Mechanical Engineer
• Internal: Engineering & Projects teams, HSE&Q, operations leadership
• External: EPC contractors, industrial city authorities, third-party companies, occasional interaction with shareholders and government bodies

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct piping and valves design engineering in accordance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and approved variations
• Resolve engineering issues and communicate with the project execution team; escalate as necessary
• Develop, update, and implement departmental policies and procedures in consultation with management
• Support external engineering teams and contractors to ensure design meets project objectives and standards
• Evaluate complex tasks and provide recommendations to management
• Apply project philosophies and procedures in specification, design, and procurement of piping items
• Ensure compliance with project management systems and processes, prepare plans and schedules to achieve project milestones
• Monitor and guide FEED, EPC contractors, and third-party services throughout project phases to ensure scope, standards, schedule, and budget compliance
• Support other engineers with technical analyses and multidisciplinary tasks to meet project schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in piping engineering within the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a project management team role

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Proficiency in engineering software tools and systems
• Knowledge of national and international codes, standards, and specifications relevant to piping design
• Strong problem-solving, planning, communication, and teamwork skills
• Understanding of SHE (safety, health, environment) principles and quality standards
