Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highly technical and specialized engineering services for power system design using ETAP software.
- Provide technical support for designs to the power system protection and studies field.
- The ETAP engineer shall be fully competent to perform and review power system studies including load flow, short-circuit (IEC & ANSI), Motor Starting, Protective Device Coordination, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis (IEEE 1584 / NFPA 70E) and Mitigation, Harmonics and Power Quality (as applicable), ground grid calculations & Transient stability.
- Ability to act as ETAP Technical Authority, responsible for validation of inputs, assumptions, methodologies, and final study results.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ISA, NEC / IEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.) and preferably also Saudi Aramco standards and working practices
- Run complete coordination studies for different kinds of new and existing facilities (industrial, offshore, residential, etc.) for all types of voltage level.
- Review protection system design for all types of voltage levels, including but limited to: protection and metering drawings, schematic and logic drawings, and instrument transformer sizing.
- Experience in leading and guiding technical employees needed.
- Review company standards and be familiar with international standards.
- Run settings calculations for power system equipment such as generators, long OHL/cables, transformers, motors, etc.
- Run Arc Flash studies with complete evaluation for new and existing facilities.
- Run power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, and motor starting.
- Demonstrated knowledge & experience performing detailed power system engineering studies including short circuit, load flow, transient motor starting, protection relay coordination, arc flash, etc., and establish appropriate protective device settings.
- Experience on a range of different relays vendors and their software.
- Experience in distribution, transmission, and generation protection functions.
- Experience in oil and gas industrial systems.
Qualifications & Experience:

- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Strong technical training, speaking, writing and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of PSCAD/EMTAP as an added advantage.
- Fluency in English language (both verbal and written).
- 10 years of experience required.
- BS or MS in Electrical engineering discipline is required.
- Knowledge of Aramco standards is desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- PE registration highly preferred.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
