At its site in Middlewich, Cheshire, UK (with immediate central links to the M6), Indaver operates a solvent recycling facility; accepting hazardous and non-hazardous (waste) solvents, providing bespoke recovery solutions, Indaver is able to support the customers with lab analysis, pilot scale trials, and recycling at commercial scale.
The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
They will lead and support the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects (Process improvements, Capacity enhancement, Compliance , Infrastructure upgrades) on site. Ensure projects are aligned with business objectives, statutory requirements, and company standards. They will also manage project scope, schedule, cost, and risk to achieve successful outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver engineering EPC and EPCM projects across process, mechanical, Civil and electrical disciplines.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project delivery.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including P&IDs, asset registers, and change management records.
- Drive project governance through stage-gate reviews, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Support commissioning, handover, and integration of new plant modifications or equipment into operations.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and EHS teams to ensure project deliverables meet operational needs.
- Projects delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration across departments.
- Strong project governance and documentation maintained.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering engineering projects in a COMAH or high-hazard environment.
- Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering) with project management experience.
- Chartered status or working towards it is advantageous.
- Strong project management skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management). Technical understanding of process safety and hazard identification methods (HAZOP, LOPA, ALARP).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure with a positive, results-driven attitude.
