Job Description

We are looking to hire a highly engaged and results-focused Architecture, Engineering and Construction Manager to strengthen and lead a team of professionals in designing and building meetinghouse spaces to accommodate the unprecedented growth of the Church in the Europe Central Area.

Responsibilities

Shape sacred spaces
  • Lead the planning, design, and construction of facilities that support worship, learning, and community-delivering projects that meet the highest standards of quality, reverence, and compliance.

Why this role matters
  • You'll oversee a diverse team of architects, engineers, and construction professionals, guiding projects from concept to completion. Your leadership ensures facilities are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational and community goals.

Lead & develop the team
  • Manage and mentor architects, engineers, and construction staff; assign projects based on experience, complexity, and workload.
  • Foster professional growth through coaching, training, and performance management.

Drive project strategy & execution
  • Oversee planning, design, and construction phases-setting cost and cycle time targets, ensuring compliance with Church standards and local regulations.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage contractors and design consultants to ensure quality and value.
    Prepare and manage annual plans, budgets, and schedules for multiple projects.

Ensure governance, compliance & stewardship
  • Maintain documentation and reporting systems to track milestones, costs, and compliance.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with prevailing laws and protect the interests of the Church.
  • Support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives in construction and facilities management.

Collaborate & communicate
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to align construction and maintenance efforts with organizational goals.
  • Provide relevant performance reports and support area self-reliance targets.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
  • Management experience and industry certifications.
  • ~10 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, and presentation tools.
  • Commitment to industry best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities in English.

Nice to Have
  • Additional European languages will be an advantage.
  • MBA, Master's in Construction, sustainability, or similar related disciplines.
