About the role:
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team and oversee all quality assurance processes within the faculty.
The role holder will work with professional services and academic colleagues to ensure compliance with King's frameworks and external regulatory requirements. They will manage the annual quality cycle, curriculum reviews, and programme approval processes - driving continuous enhancement of the student experience and supporting delivery of the College Education Strategy.
This is an exciting role with responsibility for leading the implementation of new systems and processes, including the transition to the College's curriculum management system (CourseLoop), and acting as the primary liaison with central teams on quality assurance matters. They will provide expert advice to academic and professional services colleagues and represent the faculty at key committees and working groups.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to anticipate and resolve risks proactively. We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge of higher education quality assurance, proven experience in managing high-performing teams, and the confidence to influence and implement change across a complex organisation.
This is a full time post and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Substantial experience in a higher education administration environment, with an emphasis on managing quality assurance of provision.
2. Proactive and authentic approach to leadership, experience of line management and managing high-performing teams, including motivating staff.
3. Experience of managing projects and change, including developing innovative solutions, and implementing new processes and systems.
4. Excellent communication skills, including experience of translating complex regulations, processes and information in suitable formats for a variety of audiences.
5. Experience of accurately maintaining, auditing, and reporting on curriculum information, including using data to produce reports for committees and inform decision-making.
6. Excellent task management skills and proven ability to use initiative, prioritise workloads for self and others, and respond positively to competing demands and deadlines.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiating with a range of stakeholders, with the ability to form strong professional networks.
8. Awareness and understanding of higher education policies and current issues within the sector, and experience of working within regulatory and statutory frameworks.
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of managing collaborative provision
2. Evidence of continuous professional development.
