As an Engineering Project Manager, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver engineering projects across software, hardware, and system integration domains. You will work closely with R&D, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.

You will contribute to structured project execution within Ekinops' PMO framework, ensuring transparency, disciplined tracking, and effective collaboration across teams and sites. The role focuses on strong delivery fundamentals, risk management, and continuous improvement, while progressively building autonomy and responsibility within complex, multi-site environments.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned engineering projects involving R&D, Customer Delivery, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risks, and actions using Ekinops PMO tools (Sciforma, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Track and report project progress, costs, and risks, escalating issues in a timely and structured manner.
  • Ensure adherence to project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Support project governance activities, including preparation of steering committee materials and status reporting.
  • Coordinate collaboration between engineering teams across multiple sites (France, Belgium, India).
  • Contribute to tool and process improvement initiatives, including PMO tool upgrades and standardization efforts.
  • Support integration and alignment with corporate systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, PMO and reporting tools) in line with defined governance standards.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and partners involved in project delivery:
    1. Monitor deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
    2. Track performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
    3. Escalate risks or deviations to senior project or program managers when needed.
  • Identify risks and issues proactively and support mitigation actions.
  • Apply and continuously improve project templates, KPIs, and reporting dashboards.
  • Support Agile or hybrid delivery practices within engineering teams.
  • Participate in lessons learned, risk reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to quality and compliance activities (ISO9001, CMMI, customer audits).

Skills and profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in project management within a high-tech, telecom, or software engineering environment.
  • Experience working in multi-site and multicultural environments.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with supplier and partner coordination.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and change control.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Sciforma, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to track budgets, resources, and delivery milestones.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, managers, and external partners.
  • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Awareness of quality systems and compliance frameworks (ISO9001, CMMI).
  • Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a strong asset).
