Job Title: Site QA / QC Manager
Division: E&P
Project: Mozambique LNG – Onshore
Location: Afungi Site, Northern Mozambique (Rotational)
Reporting Line: Site Director / RSES

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control activities on a large-scale onshore LNG development in Northern Mozambique. The role is accountable for overseeing EPC contractor performance, implementing the Project Quality Management System (QMS), and ensuring all construction and system completion activities meet contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements. This is a senior site leadership position managing a multidisciplinary QA/QC team of up to 50 personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a strong HSE culture and lead by example across client and contractor teams.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Project QMS, including plans, procedures, specifications, and registers.
  • Lead quality surveillance of construction activities, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), audits, and supplier oversight.
  • Review and approve contractor quality documentation to ensure compliance with project and contract requirements.
  • Manage nonconformities, deviations, corrective actions, and quality risks through to resolution.
  • Provide clear, timely reporting on quality performance, progress, and areas of concern to the Project Management Team.
  • Coordinate with project controls and other site functions to support safe, on-time delivery and handover to Operations.
  • Drive “Quality Culture” initiatives and capture lessons learned during execution.
  • Actively support site emergency management and overall site governance.
Context & Environment
The project is delivered by a multinational joint venture in a highly remote location with challenging logistics, security considerations, and health mitigation measures. The role operates within a complex, high-profile, project-financed environment.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Engineering degree (advanced degree or professional certification preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in a QA/QC management role on major EPC projects.
  • Proven leadership, strong HSE mindset, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
  • Fluency in English required; Portuguese or French is an advantage.
