Role Overview
A leading offshore projects organisation is seeking a Pre-Commissioning Superintendent for CPP Topside operations. The role is responsible for supervising and coordinating pre-commissioning activities performed by EPC Contractors and Subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.
Job Purpose:

Supervise pre-commissioning activities at the worksite during execution phases

Verify that pre-commissioning of equipment packages is performed according to project procedures
-
Ensure facilities are built to project requirements and verify EPC/Subcontractor drawings, procedures, and methodologies
-
Ensure adequate resources, equipment, and manpower are available to complete work to quality standards and on schedule

Assist the construction team with discipline-related matters and coordinate closely with the commissioning team

Demonstrate exemplary HSSE behaviour and ensure compliance with technical codes, standards, and best practices
Key Responsibilities:

Promote compliance with HSE procedures and company policies during all activities

Interface with EPC Contractor Pre-Commissioning Managers, commissioning teams, and construction teams

Ensure daily ICAPS updates by EPC Contractor

Review and approve pre-commissioning reports, vendor documentation, handover certificates, and preservation procedures
-
Coordinate and prioritise punch list items and ensure they are entered into ICAPS
-
Review RFC dossiers and manage distribution for approval

Stop and report anomalies or non-conformities immediately to Head of Construction
-
Participate in construction, HSE, and QA/QC audits, inspections, and activity reporting

Ensure EPC Contractor and vendor personnel are qualified for assigned tasks

Issue or review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and CMS deviations as necessary

Support resolution of deviations (DEV) and technical queries (TQ) with discipline engineers/commissioning team

Contribute to reporting, close-out reports, and lessons learned
Context:
-
Projects involve development of new offshore platforms and subsea lines across multiple international sites
-
Role will be based at EPC Contractor’s premises in South Korea during EPC execution and may relocate to Doha for offshore hook-up campaigns
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering

Minimum 15 years’ professional experience, with 10 years in topsides EPCIC projects

Hands-on pre-commissioning experience on offshore topsides projects

Knowledge of international codes and standards (EN, ISO, ASTM, NACE, SSPC)

Construction yard experience is required

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work in complex, multicultural environments

Proficiency in computer programs (word processing, database, spreadsheets, email)

Familiarity with PRODOM / MANASA / ICAPS

Mandatory languages: English + local language based on EPC location (Mandarin/Korean)
