SURF Installation Engineer - Paris

WRS are seeking a highly experienced SURF Installation Engineer to join the execution team for a major offshore development project. Based residentially in Paris, this role will be central to the preparation, follow-up, and control of subsea transportation and installation activities.

The successful candidate will ensure technical integrity, safety, quality, and cost control throughout engineering, procurement, and offshore execution phases, while coordinating closely with contractors, internal teams, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and validate engineering deliverables for subsea installation scopes (pipelines, risers, umbilicals).
• Review and approve technical documentation from contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Participate in the preparation of tenders, ITT documentation, clarifications, and contractor evaluations.
• Provide input on installation methodologies, SIMOPS, constructability, and offshore execution planning.
• Monitor and control contractor activities during detailed engineering, loadouts, offshore installation campaigns, and pre-commissioning.
• Participate in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, safety and technical audits, and project reviews.
• Interface with other disciplines (engineering, FPSO, drilling, commissioning, operations) to ensure consistency and integration.
• Support and attend offshore campaigns, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution during subsea installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE rules and promote best practices across all phases of the project.

Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering with specialization in subsea pipelines/risers.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience on deepwater oil & gas projects, with significant exposure to subsea installation engineering (onshore and offshore).
• Strong knowledge of relevant subsea standards, codes, and practices.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate contractors during engineering and execution.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Comfortable working in complex, multicultural project environments.
• Fluent in English (French is a plus).
