Recruitment Partner: Spencer OgdenSpencer Ogden is supporting a major HVDC project in Berlin and is seeking an experienced HVDC Project Engineer for a 12-month contract.Role OverviewYou will be responsible for equipment classification and item designation activities, working closely with GE Vernova engineering teams, EPC contractors, suppliers, and customers. The role combines engineering delivery and technical project coordination, ensuring alignment across requirements, schedules, and data standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute item designation and asset register work packagesApply standards such as RDS-PP, NKS, and IEC Item DesignationCreate and manage equipment/item registers (databases & Excel)Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceabilityAct as technical owner for system breakdown structures and asset registersCoordinate technical interfaces with engineering teams, customers, and suppliersRequirementsExperience with asset registers, system breakdown structures, and item designation in HVDC or complex power projectsBackground across electrical systems (HV, LV, automation, or distribution)Strong Excel and engineering database skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder coordination skillsLanguages:English (mandatory)German (fluent - customer-facing role)Contract Details12-month contractBerlin-basedStart August (TBC)?
