Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inspection Coordinator responsible for overseeing the EPCI scope regarding the manufacturing surveillance of equipment integrated into converter stations. The role involves inspection coordination, documentation review (QC deliverables), contractor compliance, and quality control monitoring during
manufacturing. The Inspection Coordinator will work closely with technical experts, project management teams, and contractors to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and implement the surveillance strategy for critical equipment inspections.
• Collaborate with technical specialists, product quality management, and work package managers.
• Prepare and update inspection activities documentation (Project Quality Plan, ITPs, etc.).
• Conduct weekly/monthly reporting on manufacturing quality activities.
• Ensure contractors follow inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Oversee pre-inspection meetings with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Validate equipment quality control points in coordination with technical specialists.
• Supervise the implementation of ITPs during manufacturing.
• Manage the inspection notification process (reviews, witness hold points).
• Oversee inspection agencies and technical inspectors for supplier inspections.
• Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and punch lists, ensuring follow-ups and corrective actions.
• Review contractor inspection documentation (procedures, inspection records, supplier audit reports).
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and prepare reports with technical experts.
• Support the review and closure of End of Manufacturing Reports (EOMR).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant industrial standards.
• Organize and lead monthly/weekly quality meetings with contractors.
Deliverables & Reporting
• Monthly reports on inspection activities and compliance.
• Review and approval of inspection test plans (ITPs) and contractor reports.
• Maintain the inspection register for agencies.
• Track quality indicators, non-conformance records, and supplier reports.
• Document and analyze lessons learned for future quality improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
• 8–10 years of experience in quality monitoring of manufacturing activities.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills between internal and external stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in English and French (preferred).
• Experience in HVDC equipment manufacturing & converter station components (transformers, converters, filters, connectors).
• Background in inspection coordination and manufacturing follow-up.
• Offshore industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and industrial quality standards.
